New Positive Practice Environments Projects for Morocco, Uganda and Zambia
Morocco, Uganda and Zambia are the sites for new Positive Practice Environments Campaign projects. The World Health Report 2006: Working together for health, confirms that Morocco, Uganda and Zambia are among the fifty-seven countries worldwide suffering from a critical shortage of health care workers.
The PPE Partners and Secretariat are working with national health professional and hospital organisations in Morocco, Uganda and Zambia to develop country projects and to improve their country practice environments.
A researcher has prepared a case study in each country to explore issues influencing their current health systems, with particular attention to practice environments and recruitment/retention of its health workforce.
National Resource Persons and National Steering Committees direct country-level Campaign implementation. Activities will include multi-disciplinary seed projects that will address priority practice environment issues determined by health sector stakeholders in each country.
